Following is a list of some of the projects that DJ Public Relations has provided public outreach and education support on in Florida:

Pasco County

  • Orange Belt Trail PD&E Study and Trail Segmentation Plan – This is a proposed regional multi-use trail spanning approximately 37 miles through Pasco County. This project affects the entire county, as well as potential visitors to the trail. While a majority of residents support the addition of a trail to the county, there are some who have strong opinions on both where it should go, and whether or not it should be built at all. Public outreach efforts were extensive throughout the PD&E process.
  • Moon Lake Forcemain Project, New Port Richey – The Moon Lake Forcemain Project was the design, permitting and construction of a 5.5 mile, 30-inch diameter pipeline through the Moon Lake area of New Port Richey, which included both business and residential units. Its total length when completed will be 4.52 miles.
  • Penny for Pasco Renewal Campaign (2012) – Pasco County, Florida passed a 10-year, 1-cent, Penny for Pasco sales tax referendum in 2004. Prior to its expiration, the Penny for Pasco Citizen’s Committee launched a campaign to educate residents on the Penny for Pasco and why it should be renewed for another 10 years. As the Campaign Coordinator for the campaign, I was responsible for the daily activities of the campaign.
